Good morning all.
Hope everyone’s weekend was enjoyable. I have to say that this weekend was not that great for me on the running front, but it won’t stop me from my continued training.
The woes of the weekend started on Friday when I was informed that the race I was running was cancelled due to too muddy trail conditions. I was so looking forward to running this 5 mile trail race. It would have been my 1st. I might partake in another one in March. Next, after a 5K tempo run, I felt a little more winded than usual. Don’t know if it was the weather being chilly, running into a 25 mph headwind, or just me not being right. I didn’t think too much of it. On Sunday, I was supposed to have a 16 mile run. About 7 miles into it my run, I had to stop. I DON’T KNOW WHY, but it was frustrating. What sucks is that everything up to that point was going pretty good. It was as if my body just decided to shut down, and instead of pushing myself, I decided to listen and stop. The 5 mile walk/speedwalk/slow jog home sucked after this!!!
So, if you do read this, and have any advice to shoot my way, I do welcome it and would cherish any suggestions anyone might be willing to share.
