For those who have been following any updates I’ve posted, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Well, things have only gotten better in the last few weeks.
My little man has made some huge improvements thanks to the medication (but not the hit on the pocketbook). All of that is well worth it in the end. My little man has made so much improvements, he is not up to standards on all of his required school work, and his teacher nearly breaks down and cries after every day of school when we pick him up. He was a “SHOOTING STAR” all this past week at school, even warranting a trip to the principal’s office to rummage thru her Toy treasure chest for outstanding work out school. To see the smile on his face after school has been nothing short of priceless.
Even better, he wants to take after dad and play baseball more and more now. He is my good luck charm. Whenever he comes to one of his big brother’s games, it is tradition now that he gives me a little kiss through the fence. It worked wonders last weekend as we finished 2nd in our 1st tournament of the year, and at our last game, we won 16-1 to a team we previously beat only 4-3. He is working his magic, and it is funny because after the games, he comes onto the field with me and the big boys (he says) and gives them all high fives and says he is the good luck charm. In my eyes, he is. We’ll see if he can work his magic again as we are in another tournament this weekend, and in all reports, favored to win.
My training has taken a turnaround also. I’ve been able to get in a few more productive runs, and have started some Insanity workouts at home after little man goes to bed. I’m for the 1st time in a while, able to start to have some me time to get me back together. It is nice!!!!
I’ve made some outstanding contacts this week, and can’t wait to work with some great companies in the near future, so to all of you, I give you a huge shout out!!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend. For those running this weekend, safe journeys to all of you, and to my one and only sponsored athlete, Ryan (@DixonRunning), FIND YOUR STRONG this weekend, and rock that 1/2 marathon. Best of luck!!
Thanks to all for your support and following Running4theMasses.
