Who over their athletic career hasn’t suffered some sort of injury? I know I have had my share of injuries playing sports, and as my body ages, the injuries don’t heal as quickly, or those injuries that happen years ago just start nagging at me again. I’ve had injured ankles, knees, elbows, shoulders, you name it. I’ve had a brace for everything, but nothing has compared to the BRD Sport knee brace I’ve been fortunate enough to wear.

Ever since I was a teenager, I inherited bad knees from my dad’s side of the family. On top of that the years of wear and team I put on my body from running and playing baseball didn’t make matters any better for myself. I’ve tried all sorts of neoprene braces, jumper’s knee bands, tapes, you name it, I’ve tried it. Enter BRD Sport. My search for a brace for my active lifestyle has ended.
I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the BRD Sport G18 Knee Brace, and all I can say is that it is a great fitting brace. Best I’ve worn, and like I said, I’ve worn a lot.
BRD Sport uses a knit design on their braces that delivers more compression, and to me more comfort that neoprene braces. I’ve worn the brace on both knees, and the comfort, stability, and mobility it has provided me has been outstanding. I’ve run in this brace in distances of 3 miles to 10 miles, and I’ve had no discomfort from the BRD Sport brace, I’ve had no inflammation of my knees after taking the brace off after activity, I’ve had minimal soreness in my knees after activity, and at times, when running with the brace on, it was so comfortable, I forgot I was wearing it. Absolutely great product, design, and concept. I even wear it under my clothes when I get the slightest bit of discomfort in one of my knees, and it relieves that discomfort immediately. It is not in any way bulky, so you don’t even notice it is being worn under work clothes, which is a great thing as well.
I am not one that gets impressed easily by such a product as I’ve run the gamete on finding the right supportive brace for me and my body. I’ve found that product for me, and will continue to wear the BRD Sport products, and am hopeful to get my hands on some of their ankle and elbow products.
If you are in the market for supportive braces, I highly recommend you check out BRD Sport. I was not disappointed, and I don’t think you will be either.
