Well, another week has come and gone. Is it really the 4th of July already? Where has the time gone?
This morning was a good day. My little man, my hero, lost his 1st tooth this morning. He was a trooper when we yanked it out of his mouth. He just started busting out laughing. It was a great way to start the day. He finishes his last day of vacation bible school today, and tonight, he is off to watch some fireworks. He has been doing great, and he has such a passion for life. He loves, loves, LOVES to play baseball, and he is pretty darn good at it at this age. Much better at this point then his older brother who is a stud right now. He’ll be making waves in the years to come!!!!
Man, don’t know about where you all live, but the temps have been unbearable lately. You just take a step outside, and start sweating. How uncomfortable!!!! Oh well, at least I’ve been able to get out and get a few runs in, no matter how short. Progress!!!!
This coming up weekend marks the end of a long journey for the select baseball team I am coaching, in the organization I started. Can’t believe that it all comes to an end. Just seems like yesterday, these kids were 10 years old. Now, they are grown young men getting ready to enter high school. Wow, has time gone by fast. With good thoughts and prayers, I’m really optimistic that this team can bring home a State Championship this year. We’ve been so close in the past, and right now, I just have that feeling.
With the end of the season next weekend, will bring the start to my rigorous and timely marathon training. I’m really going to have to step it up to be ready to run my 1st full marathon on September 23. I’ll be starting my quest for my completion of my 1st marathon, and also beginning a quest with my good friend, Ryan Dixon (@DixonRunning) as he “FINDS HIS STRONG” in running 3 marathons in 4 weeks.
As always, on my feet will be any of my favorite @MizunoRunning shoes, and they will make me a better runner as I get closer to meeting my goal of finishing the 26.2 mile venture. I can’t wait, and I look forward to getting advice from another running buddy, @SethHasty. Mizuno and Seth have really helped my find my #Brilliantrun, and I’m so glad to be a part of the Mizuno family.
I wish you all happy ventures in racing and training this weekend, and please stay safe and find your #Brilliantrun this weekend!!!!!
