Running4theMasses is back for another week, and updated for 9.17.12. Something new for all to enjoy.
Well, this weekend has come and gone at a feverish pace, but I have so much to look forward to this week.
1st off, I get to attend the 1st baseball meeting of the year for high school. This has been a long time coming for my 14-year-old son. I’m proud of him, and look forward to this. 2nd, my 6-year-old was chosen to be the student of the week at his school. This is a HUGE accomplishment, and couldn’t be any prouder as a parent. Finally, the days, hours, minutes, and seconds tick down until September 23, 7:00 am. All I have been working for is finally here, and I’m so excited and looking forward to this!!!!
This weekend brought about a bunch of other 1st’s as well. My 6-year old ran in his very 1st race this weekend, and finished 4th in his age group, just getting edged at the finish line for 3rd place and a medal. It was awesome seeing his excitement after running, and he now has the bug and wants to run in another race already. As for myself, I set a PR in the 10K by more than 9 minutes, with a time of 47:43. I more than thrilled with this leading up to this weekend. I’ve found the right mix of everything, and I have definitely found my secret weapon in my @Synergenics #Workout Mode. This stuff has pushed me over the edge and exactly to the point of where I want to be. Great stuff!!!!
Well, here’s to hoping and 1 last week of training!!!! Best of luck to all!!!!
