Running4theMasses has been updated for 10.23.12.
The countdown is down to 5 days. The anticipation is building, and my nerves are starting to show a little bit. I’ve always said I’m not too nervous about this race, but in all honesty, I’m pretty nervous. Who in their right mind runs more than a marathon at one time. Well, I guess that answer is me and a bunch of other people in the sold-out, inaugural @GreatGoats G.O.A.T.Z. Ultramarathon.
I’ve got a few more runs in me prior to the weekend, and plan to make the most of them with some last-minute tinkering of what foods to eat while running, where to stash them, etc. I know they say not to do too much tinkering; however, I need to find the right mix for me. Starburst didn’t work too well. Too hard to unwrap and chew. I’m thinking Skittles or Gummi Bears or Worms, or possibly Reeces Pieces. Chocolate and Peanut Butter, Yes please!!!! As usual, I’ll have all my other supporters and such with me with my @MizunoRunning Ascend 7 or 4 shoes, my @UDHydrates pack, my @nuunhydrates electrolyte tablets, and of course, my go to energy and endurance source, my @Synergenics #workout mode.
Also, in the coming weeks, Running4theMasses will be going a makeover and change. Running4theMasses will be getting a name change to either Running Outlaw or Outlaws Running. There will be a new web address, but all the information will remain the same.
