As we get closer to Sunday, I had probably one of my best runs since my marathon last night. Started rough, but at a nice, easy pace, and after a few miles into the run, things started to look up. The pace was pretty steady (much faster than what I assume I’ll run this weekend), breathing was good. I ditched the heart-rate monitor, and was glad I did. No constant buzzing from my watch that my heart rate was getting too high, which was comforting. Everything felt in tune for a change. Still trying to figure out exactly what I’m going to carry with me to snack on, but I think I’ve got that narrowed down too. Tried Starburst again last night; however, they are too messy to get unwrapped and get sticky quick. I’ll probably stay away from those. I’ll probably do a mix of Skittles and Gummi Bears or Worms. Maybe some trail mix as well. It will now be a matter of how to stash them with me on the run.
Oh, well, another day, another thing to think about.
